Vince Vaughn arrested in California for reported DUI

Vince Vaughn was arrested in southern California early Sunday for what TMZ reported was driving under the influence.

The “Swingers” star was picked up in Manhattan Beach, about 20 miles southwest of Los Angeles, according to police records that only show Vaughn faces a misdemeanor charge.

Another person was in the car Vaughn was driving when it was stopped at a checkpoint at about 4 a.m. local time, TMZ reported. The Manhattan Beach Police Department told the Hollywood Reporter early Sunday that Vaughn was still detained.

The “Wedding Crashers” actor’s bail was set at $5,000, and he’s due back in court on Sept. 10, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office records.

Vaughn’s team didn’t immediately return requests for comments by the entertainment news publications.
