Ryan Gosling on Harvey Weinstein: 'I'm deeply disappointed in myself for being so oblivious'

Ryan Gosling is adding his voice to those speaking out against Harvey Weinstein.

The actor, who starred in the producer's 2010 drama All Good Things, shared a statement Thursday as allegations of sexual harassment and abuse against Weinstein continue to surface.

"I want to add my voice of support for the women who have had the courage to speak out against Harvey Weinstein. Like most people in Hollywood, I have worked with him and I'm deeply disappointed in myself for being so oblivious to these devastating experiences of sexual harassment and abuse," Gosling wrote.

He added: "He is emblematic of a systemic problem. Men should stand with women and work together until there is real accountability and change."

On Thursday, police in New York and London confirmed they were investigating Weinstein for sexual assault. The police investigations follow Tuesday's expose in The New Yorker, in which three women accused Weinstein of rape.

The piece was written by NBC correspondent Ronan Farrow and included on-the-record quotes from actresses Asia Argento, Lucia Evans and Mira Sorvino. Weinstein has denied the allegations. In a statement published in The New Yorker, a spokesperson said that "any allegations of nonconsensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein."
