Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are still living together, claims reality star Patti Stanger

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris publicly announced their separation nearly a week ago -- but according to mutual friend Patti Stanger, "there's still hope" for the celebrity ex-couple.

The star of "Million Dollar Matchmaker," asserting that she's good friends with both Chris and Anna, spilled personal details to Entertainment Tonight about the status of their relationship. She also offered her own insights about what did -- and didn't -- cause the split.

"Okay, so this is really hard because I'm close to them," she told ET. "I'm upset about it. The day it happened I actually texted them. I don't know what happened there; [Chris] is still living in the house. Let's pray it turns around."

Stanger found out about the separation with the rest of the world via Anna's shocking Instagram announcement. "I was actually on my Instagram reading ... and [Anna's post] just popped up," Stanger said. "I'm talking to Sim [Sarna], who is like her right hand and best friend, and I gave her -- I don't wanna bombard [Anna], but I do want them to know ... anything they need from me, I'm there for them. I just love [them] both and I just pray that it's going to work out."

Offering her own advice as a love expert herself, she continued, If [Pratt]'s still in the house, there's hope," she said. "If the person doesn't leave the house, there's a lot of hope there. That means they still love each other. Because they're not poor... they could go get a condo, Airbnb it. It's just that they don't want to leave each other. There's a lot of best friend factor there. They're very close as BFFs."

And as far as rumors that Chris' sudden mega-stardom fractured the marriage? Probably not, said Stanger.

"I feel like it's communication," she said. "It has nothing to do with him being [a] bigger [star] than her. She is, as we are [here] at CBS, she has the No. 1 show right now on CBS ["Mom"]. I should only be so lucky that Chuck Lorre makes me a show. And who are you to put her down for 40? I wanna look like that, she's stunning, okay?"

In response, Pratt and Faris' reps told ET, "Patti Stanger is not an authorized spokesperson for Anna and Chris and her comments (about their marital status and personal life) are invalid."
