Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines files for divorce after 17 years of marriage

Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines has filed for divorce from her husband of 17 years, Adrian Pasdar, TMZ reports.

The "Goodbye Earl" singer reportedly cited reconcilable differences in her petition to end her marriage with Pasdar. The couple, who married back in 2000, have two boys Jackson Slade, 16, and Beckett Finn, 13,. Maines is reportedly asking for joint custody of their children.

Maines is famous for her country music career with Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire while Pasdar is a well-known actor with starring roles in "Heroes" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." The couple met at her bandmate Emily Strayer's wedding to singer-songwriter Charlie Robison in 1999. She was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsmen and after their fast connection, they married in 2000 at Las Vegas' Little White Chapel following one of her concerts.

Th couple has not commented on their split, but sources tell TMZ that the couple have "split amicably."

This is the second marriage for Maines.
