Chrissy Metz was Hollywood perfection Thursday night in a scarlet gown and matching lip as she attended the Television Academy Host Words Plus Music Celebration.

Instead of a statement shoe or dramatic jewels, the "This Is Us" star had the best accessory of all: Boyfriend Josh Stancil, who was by the star's side looking pretty sharp himself.

Josh, a cameraman who works on "This Is Us," hit it off with the star on set -- and the rest is history. He may not often frequent the red carpet, but he held his own in a dark blue suit and a nicely-coiffed 'do.

Chrissy, 36, first revealed their budding relationship in October 2016, just weeks after the hit NBC show had thrust her into stardom.

"Here's the thing, like, he needs to have his own life," she told People at the time, declining to give his name. "I don't want him roped into mine, so I just want to protect him."

A few months later, the two decided to go public with their romance, making their debut at Entertainment Weekly's SAG Awards party. She's since said that the two have found a healthy balance to maintain professionalism on set, with Stancil even offering to quit "This Is Us" if necessary. (Chrissy quickly shut that idea down.)

Chrissy and Josh will have a big few months ahead as "This Is Us" films through the summer. Season 2 will premiere in September on NBC.
