Fact: Armie Hammer is hot. Another fact: These things take time.

The 30-year-old star was mortified during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" as the host whipped out a throwback pic. He was "twelve or thirteen," Hammer said -- and he'd bleached his own hair into white-blonde mayhem.

If the color wasn't shocking enough, Hammer then gelled up his locks into sky-high spikes. The photo shows him cuddling his mom's puppy.

"And did you and the dog go to the same groomer?" Kimmel quipped.
