Janet Jackson's husband pens emotional message just a week after the announcement of their shocking split

Updated

Just a week after Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana announced their split, the billionaire CEO is opening up about how he's truly feeling.

Al Mana penned an emotional message about the singer, which he published on his website alongside a black-and-white photo of Jackson:

"To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much, inshallah [which means 'if Allah wills it'] we will be together in the Great Forever x."

Just a couple of days before, the Qatari businessman posted a passage from the Quran, which has since been deleted, that hints at their recent split.

Janet and Wissam have kept a relatively low profile since the announcement, but photos of the Grammy-winning singer show that she's in pretty good spirits. She recently took to Twitter to share a "nap time" photo of her adorable son, Eissa. It's the first photo she's ever shared of him:

The couple's separation comes as a complete surprise considering Jackson just gave birth to their son just three months ago.

However, a source revealed that there was trouble in paradise long before Eissa's birth, attributing the breakup to their drastically different cultural beliefs:

"Wissam wanted a wife who stuck more with Muslim traditions. Even before the baby was born, they clashed and butted heads a lot."

The pair tied the knot in 2012 in a secret ceremony that was revealed only a year later by Jackson herself.
