Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Launch Party 2017: Red carpet arrivals

The ladies of the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue proved they can rock more than just tiny bikinis ...

Hannah Jeter, Chrissy Teigen and some of the most beautiful women in the world gathered on Thursday in New York City to celebrate the launch of this year's issue, and AOL was there to catch all the action.

Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin looked totally dreamy in a sheer pastel blue number with a plunging neckline. The supermodel made her SI debut in 2016, and she couldn't help but gush about this year's rookies: "I didn't need to give them advice, they're too good!"

Speaking of rookies, Danielle Herrington was an absolute vision in a tight white dress that she paired with nude pumps. She shared the advice that veteran Ashley Graham shared while they were shooting in Fiji together: "She was on my shoot in Fiji, she told me to have fun, be confident and just work it!"

Meanwhile, Mia Kang, who made her debut on the magazine after winning the SI Swimsuit model search, rocked a skin-bearing Laurel Dewitt number with a dangerously high slit. The rookie gushed about her first time on SI and hoped that it won't be her last!

"I love that Sports Illustrated embraces who you are first as a person, your body is not a priority. The fact that I was selected is an absolute honor," Kang said.

Covergirl Kate Upton made her grand debut by being one of the last models to walk the red carpet. She rocked a teeny LBD that showed off her toned pins.
