Date night!

Prince William and Duchess Kate left their two young kiddos at home for a glamorous night out at the 2017 BAFTA Awards in London on Sunday.

They arrived fashionably late to the event at Royal Albert Hall despite the short drive from their Kensington Palace home. The two were greeted with cheers from large crowds outside the venue.

Duchess Kate wowed in a black off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen floral frock that hugged her tiny figure. She accessorized with chandelier earrings, a sparkling diamond cuff on her wrist and a sophisticated black clutch. The mom-of-two kept her makeup simple and put her brunette tresses up in a chic, twisted low bun. Her husband opted for a classic black tuxedo.

Kate and William didn't stop to pose for the cameras, but photographers were able to get snapshots of the royal couple walking through the red carpet. Although the famous duo rarely attend Hollywood-type events, they looked like they were having a blast!

Inside the venue, there were spotted socializing with another couple. Kensington Palace posted the sweet moment on Twitter:

They were seen smiling and laughing at each other after they were finally brought to their seats.

The Duke of Cambridge, who is also BAFTA president, presented the Academy Fellowship to comedian Mel Brooks.
