'Grey's Anatomy' star Ellen Pompeo and husband welcome their third child

Baby makes five!

"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo and her husband, Chris Ivery, have welcomed their third child together, her rep confirmed to Us Weekly.

"Family and baby are all doing great," the rep told Us.

The 47-year-old actress was spotted taking a hike in Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 28, and her husband was holding a newborn child in a baby carrier. The photos prompted the two stars to reveal that they had welcomed another child.

Pompeo and Ivery, a music producer, are already parents to daughters, Stella Luna, 7, and Sienna May, 2.

They welcomed Sienna May via surrogate and Pompeo gave birth to Stella naturally.

There's no word on whether their third child came via surrogate, but it is suspected that the child did. Pompeo opened up about the surrogacy process on "Jimmy Kimmel."

"This is an incredible thing to do with your life, to give the gift of carrying someone's child, so I am forever grateful and feel very blessed and grateful to her-she who will remain anonymous," she said of the woman who gave birth to Sienna.

"I was there with her when they inseminated her and we held hands. I looked into the microscope and I saw the embryo, I saw the baby, and they put it in a thingy and they inseminated her. And then we held hands and we prayed, we talked to God, and if she was meant to be. He said he was going to try to help us out and now we have a gorgeous baby girl."

Congratulations to the happy family.
