Candace Cameron Bure leaving 'The View'

Candace Cameron Bure is leaving The View, she announced on Thursday's show.

The Fuller House actress joins fellow former child star Raven-Symone in leaving the ABC daytime show.

Raven-Symone recently announced she'd be leaving by the end of 2016. Bure, who's based in L.A., where Fuller House films and her family is, had been commuting to New York to co-host The View, often spending a few weeks with the ABC talk show and a few weeks off.

Indeed, Thursday's episode was her first in a few weeks and she said while she was "happy to be back" the return was "bittersweet" as she's announcing she's leaving the show.

Bure said it's just gotten to be too difficult to commute cross-country for The View and she wanted to be able to spend more time with her family.

"It wasn't an easy decision," she said of her move. "But before I started The View I had already had my commitments to Fuller House and my work with The Hallmark Channel and Hallmark movies and mysteries. Because of the success of those, my commitments have become even greater with those shows.

"And the commute of going West Coast to East Coast every week for me has been tough on me and hard for my family as well," she continued. "And I want to make sure that I'm able to spend as much time with my children and invest in all of the projects that I do to the fullest extent."

She added later, "I tried to be super woman, but I'm going to not try anymore."

Bure particularly thanked co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar "for welcoming [her] to this table."

"I've learned so much from you and I'm so grateful for you," she said of the senior co-hosts. She also thanked co-hosts Sara Haines and Jedediah Bila who were at the table on Thursday as well as absent co-hosts Paula Faris, Raven-Symone and Sunny Hostin.

Bure's announcement comes just weeks after Raven-Symone announced she'd be leaving The View. The ABC talk show, which in recent years has had a revolving door of co-hosts looked like it had achieved a bit of stability, amid rumors of upcoming departures, this summer as all of last year's hosts, minus Michelle Collins, who left last season, were returning for the series' 20th season.

Bure and Raven-Symone's exits leave a panel of moderator Whoopi Goldberg and co-hosts Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Paula Faris, Sunny Hostin and Jedediah Bila.
