Ed Sheeran's face reportedly cut during party prank with James Blunt & Princess Beatrice

We've all got scars and the stories to tell. Ed Sheeran'sstory is better than most.

The British singer and songwriter is sporting a cut to his face, reportedly the result of a stray sword wielded by Princess Beatrice and intended for James Blunt.

According to news reports, the three were joking about at a party earlier this month when Blunt asked his royal friend to "knight" him. Beatrice, the second female in line to succeed her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, is said to have lifted a ceremonial sword and inadvertently gashed Sheeran's face in the process.

The "Photograph" singer is said to have had stitches following the accident, though he has yet to confirm or deny the reports (he's currently taking a break from social media). The accident is said to have happened earlier this month at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, home to the Duke of York.
