Alec Baldwin returns as a totally overwhelmed Donald Trump on 'Saturday Night Live'

Donald Trump knows Mike Pence is his ticket to not getting impeached.

At least, that was one of the best jokes of this week's Saturday Night Live cold open, which found Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin, back after being MIA last week) taking meetings about cabinet appointments and just being generally overwhelmed at the process of, you know, being president.

When a military general came in to meet with him about his "secret plan" to defeat ISIS, Trump quickly went to Google and Siri to hopefully provide him some answers about important military questions, like "What is ISIS?"

Kate McKinnon's dead-eyed Kellyanne Conway was back in action as well. When Trump noted he couldn't have gotten to the White House without her, she replied, heavily, "I think about that every day."

Other returning characters included Jason Sudeikis' Mitt Romney. Romney reportedly met with Trump this week about a cabinet position. In SNL's re-telling, the two have a longgggg extended handshake before realizing, yup, this isn't going anywhere and these two men have absolutely nothing in common.

And, of course, SNL couldn't not mention Twitter's biggest story of the last day: Mike Pence was booed at Hamilton Friday night. "I was treated to a free lecture," Pence (Beck Bennett) cracked about the experience.

"I love you, Mike," Trump replied. "You're the reason I'm never going to get impeached."

Oh, it feels good to laugh again.
