'The Bachelor' season one comes to ABC's streaming app
After 20 seasons, The Bachelor still draws big audiences for ABC. Now the broadcast network is hoping old episodes of the dating reality series will draw viewers to its live streaming app.
ABC is making the first season of The Bachelor and spinoff The Bachelorette available to audiences via its ABC app for desktop, mobile and set-top boxes. This means fans of Ben Higgins' season this year will be able to watch how it all began when Alex Michel looked for love. The next year, Michel's runner up, Trisa Rehn, starred in The Bachelorette. Her televised wedding special to contestant Ryan Sutter will also be available on the app.
In addition, ABC's digital branch, ABCd, is releasing several new projects. Two new comedies are coming to ABCd, including Broken from Jennifer Bartels and Mike Stills, about a pair of best friends who end up on the fast track to marriage after a one-night stand, and Serious Music starring Jessica McKenna and Zach Reino as struggling comedians who make it big after they become songwriters for a pop superstar.

The digital platform is also releasing new episodes of A Little of Your Time with Quinn Marcus featuring guests including Terry Crews, Adam Pally and Maria Bamford. A new episode of On the Record will also be available with Fancy Hagood discussing the inspiration behind his music.
ABC re-launched its streaming TV app in July, adding full seasons of old shows under its "throwback" banner in addition to releasing a slate of original digital content. Cable subscribers who download the app can also watch live television.
