Princess Charlotte sits on a dog during outing in Canada

This day has gone to the dogs!

Princess Charlotte, the adorable offspring from Prince William and Kate Middleton, made her first official appearance at a play-date in Canada on Thursday and she made sure to steal the show with her funny antics.

The tiny tot played with balloons, said her first public word, "pop," and gave everyone a big chuckle when she decided to take a seat... on a dog!

The 1-year-old princess was playing with a therapy dog named Moose when she apparently felt that she might need a break from standing up. The royal kiddo plopped right down on Moose's back and got comfy. The funny moment, of course, was captured for the world to see.

DailyMail captured her bouncing on Moose's back in a funny video above.

The hour-long playdate was definitely filled with super cute moments for both Charlotte and her brother, Prince George. PG was completely enamored with a bubble-gun and was running around squirting bubbles while Charlotte stayed close to her parents, but also dashes about and played with balloons and her new friend, Moose.

The event, which was put on by Government House in Victoria, also featured a petting zoo for all the children to play with. The event also had 24 other children in attendance who had been invited to the party because they come from military families where one parent is deployed on duty.

But let's face it -- the day was all about cutie Charlotte!
