Gavin Rossdale & Jennifer Hudson are new 'The Voice UK' coaches

Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson will take a seat in the giant spinning chairs next season as coaches on The Voice UK.

The newcomers will join The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, who has been on all five seasons of the hit singing competition, and legendary crooner Tom Jones, who won the inaugural edition and is returning, it was announced Wednesday (Sept. 28).

Hudson, a former American Idol star, said she couldn't be more excited: "The U.K. has always been so supportive of me since the beginning of my career, so I'm really looking forward to sharing my point of view with the contestants."

And, Rossdale shared: "I'm so thrilled to be joining The Voice UK. I've always been extremely proud to fly the flag for British rock music, and I can't wait to join this incredible panel and help discover some new talent."

Rossdale's ex-wife, singer Gwen Stefani, was a panelist on the U.S. version of The Voice for two seasons. After the couple split in August 2015, Stefani started dating country star Blake Shelton, who has been a coach on the American edition since it began in 2011.
