Rory Feek reveals late wife Joey Feek's heartbreaking final words to him

Rory Feek is opening up about his wife, Joey's, death in the newest issue of PEOPLE magazine.

Joey, who tragically lost her battle with cancer back in March at the age of 40, was part of husband-and-wife singing duo Joey+Rory and the pair was nominated for a Grammy earlier this year.

In a revealing new interview with PEOPLE, Rory divulges his late wife's final words.

"We repeated 'I love you' three times to each other," he revealed. "It's the last line of a song I wrote years ago called 'Josephine,' an imaginary love story between a husband and wife."

Just last week, Feek posted home video footage of the couple's only daughter together, Indiana, as a tribute to Joey.
