Russell Crowe tweets gushy message to Terri Irwin, prompts more rumors about romance

Russell Crowe may have just hinted that he is indeed in a relationship with crocodile hunter Steve Irwin's widower, Terri Irwin.

On National Hugging Day, Terri, 52, tweeted a photo with her late husband and wrote "Happy National Hugging Day." Crowe re-tweeted her photo and added a gushy message to the post.

Crowe wrote, "Terri... you have kept his love and ambition relevant ... you're amazing ..."

While his sweet message doesn't necessarily scream "we're dating," it has set the rumor mill on fire again. In the past, their reps have always denied a romance between the pair, insisting they were just good friends.

'There is no romantic link at all between Terri and Russell. Once again, these reports are completely false,' reps said.

But there's no denying that the 52-year-old Hollywood has become close with the family. He's even retweeted Steve's daughter, Bindi Irwin, as she shares photos about her own conservation efforts.
