Wearable sensors can tell if you're sick before you feel it

Imagine being able to know you are getting sick before the first sniffle? Well, the future is here. Very soon you'll be able to read your body the same way you know when your car needs an oil change.

Wearable sensors can help you track your workout or your sleep pattern but we might be able to know we are sick before you even feel it.

The Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine at Stanford University in California conducted a study where 60 people wore sensors to track their heart rate, oxygen in the blood and activity levels.

Researchers established a baseline for every participant and then looked for deviations to see whether changes were tied to new environmental conditions, illness, or other factors that can impact health. In certain patients they were able to predict an illness like Lyme disease.

Hurray science!
