Michelle Obama boosts 'Tonight Show' to 10-month Wednesday high

The First Lady helped Jimmy Fallon finish first on Wednesday night.

OK, so maybe the "Tonight Show" host didn't really need a helping hand to maintain his position at No. 1 across late-night, but the FLOTUS farewell sure put a spring in his TV ratings' step anyway.

Wednesday's "Tonight" hit a 10-month high for that specific weeknight, according to Nielsen's metered-market households. The 3.0 rating was the top since March 2, 2016. That number is up 25 percent versus Fallon's prior original Wednesday episode, which aired back on December 21.
