Report: Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner to be appointed senior adviser to the president
President-elect Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will be named senior adviser to the president, according to NBC News.
Kushner, 35, is married to the billionaire businessman's eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, and he is the principal owner of his family's real estate company and owns the New York Observer.

It isn't immediately clear how a federal anti-nepotism law could affect Kushner's potential appointment. The law prohibits a president from hiring family members to serve in his administration, reports Reuters.

Kushner's lawyer said in a statement on Monday, "Mr. Kushner is committed to complying with federal ethics laws and we have been consulting with the Office of Government Ethics regarding the steps he would take," reports NBC News.
In addition, sources close to the transition team have noted that Kushner's title may be adjusted, according to the New York Times.
