Trump announces he will hold press conference on January 11
Many have criticized Donald Trump for not having an official press conference since July of last year, reports CNN.
On Tuesday, the president-elect announced on Twitter that his first formal press conference since he won the election will be held on January 11.
Trump tweeted, "I will be having a general news conference on JANUARYELEVENTH in N.Y.C. Thank you."
He didn't specify the issues he intends to address, but some speculate the president-elect might comment on his conflicts of interest as they pertain to his involvement in various businesses.

In the recent past, other than a handful of TV interviews and impromptu Q&A sessions, Trump has relied mostly on Twitter to communicate with public.
His tweets have covered a wide range of topics including foreign policy, 2016 election, political opponents, and commerce.
When asked if the president-elect will continue to heavily utilize Twitter, Sean Spicer, the incoming White House Press Secretary, told WPRI, "I think that his use of social media in particular...is gonna be something that's never been seen before...He has this direct pipeline to the American people, where he can talk back and forth."
