Jennifer Lopez drops New Year's Eve gig in favor of family time

This New Year's Eve, Jennifer Lopez has opted to trade in "Let's Get Loud" for a quiet evening at home.

The singer/actress/reality-show judge called off her scheduled appearance at E11even nightclub in Miami, citing a desire for "personal and family time," her rep told People.

Lopez, 47, had a very busy year in 2016: She just finished filming in New York for the second season of Shades of Blue, an NBC cop drama series with Ray Liotta that will air in March. She also just this past weekend wrapped up the first year of her Las Vegas show, All I Have.

And she moved into a new Bel-Air estate. So it's not too surprising the mother of 8-year-old twins Max and Emme wants to close out the year at home.

Her 2017 is also looking stacked. While continuing her Las Vegas residency, she'll serve as an executive producer and judge on NBC's upcoming dance competition show World of Dance, and she's scheduled to release an all-Spanish album produced by ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Lopez will also star in NBC's next live musical Bye Bye Birdie.

Fans can still add a little J.Lo to their New Year's Eve celebration: Part of the singer's Vegas show will be broadcast on NBC's New Year's Eve With Carson Daly. Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys and Pentatonix are also on the bill.
