President Obama's final year in the White House

President Barack Obama has called 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue home for the past eight years, and 2016 has been a year full of lasts for him -- his last State of the Union, his last Medals of Freedom, his last turkey pardoning. He spent also a lot of time traveling, becoming the first sitting president to visit both Hiroshima and Cuba (since 1928).

On November 10, Obama met with President-elect Donald Trump at the White House, beginning the transition of power.
