Giant pet lizard is Internet sensation

A giant pet lizard has acquired tens of thousands of fans online with its antics.

MacGyver, a red tegu lizard, has been living with Californian couple Scott and Ice, who post regular pictures and videos of their pet on social media.

Nearly 90,000 followers keep abreast of MacGyver's daily activities such as going to bed with its owner, and eating fresh fish.

Scott and Ice said they take MacGyver out with them often and most people find the four-year-old fascinating.
