It's been said that eating too much sugar damages the skin -- causing wrinkles and speeding up the aging process. However, sugar actually has its benefits!

All you have to do is put it on your skin instead of eating it.

Sugar has a natural humectant that basically acts as a moisturizer. Take a honey mask for example -- it makes your skin feel so plump afterwards.

Sugar also has glycolic acid which helps improve the skin's appearance and texture, keeping it bright and radiant for a natural glow.

According to the Daily Mail, making a sugar mask is simple: Buy raw sugar, then grind it in a blender or coffee grinder until it's fine, then mix it with olive oil and one teaspoon of raw honey and apply it to your face.

Sugar could sure come in handy this winter, keeping your skin hydrated especially if you suffer from dry skin.

And you'll definitely be getting some sweet results -- no pun intended.
