Kirk Herbstreit: Michigan can make the College Football Playoff if this happens

ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit is still a believer in Michigan's College Football Playoff chances.

On ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike this morning, Herbstreit outlined the Wolverines' path to the playoff. It's pretty simple, in his mind.

"If Colorado beats Washington, I think Ohio State and Michigan both make the playoff," Herbstreit said.

I'm a little more skeptical.

ESPN's 538 projections give Michigan a 2 percent chance to make the College Football Playoff, and that percent only jumps up to 3 percent if Washington loses to Colorado.
