Michelle Obama has best 2020 presidential odds of any Democrat, Vegas odds say

Updated

Michelle Obama has the best chance among Democrats to win the 2020 presidential election, according to gambling site Bovada.

The current First Lady is listed at 12/1 to win, but three Republicans are ahead of her. They include President-elect Donald Trump, the favorite at 2/1, but also Vice President-elect Mike Pence and House Speaker Paul Ryan, who both have 10-to-1 odds.

Another way to read that: Bovada thinks its more likely that Pence or Ryan will run as the Republican nominee and win than that Michelle Obama will take the office. The odds don't go into detail about why Trump wouldn't seek re-election in the Pence or Ryan scenarios.

Another factor to consider, if you're placing a wager: the first lady has said running for president doesn't interest her.

Tim Kane (14/1), Elizabeth Warren (14/1), Cory Booker (20/1), Julian Castro (20/1) and Amy Klobuchar (20/1) are among the other Democrats that Bovada feels have the best chance in 2020. Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are each listed at 20/1 and Joe Biden comes in at 33/1.

Independent and former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg is listed at 33/1, the same odds the site gives to Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley, Kamala Harris and Marco Rubio.

The site also lists some celebrity long shots, including Tom Brady George Clooney, Mark Cuban, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kanye West at 100/1 apiece.

Gary Johnson was the Libertarian Party nominee in 2016 and is an actual politician, but he shares 500/1 odds with Kim Kardashan and Vince McMahon.
