Chrissy Teigen reveals the unexpected 'standard' she and John Legend like to set for hosting parties

If you spent any time on social media this past weekend, you already know that Chrissy Teigen and baby Luna threw a gorgeous baby shower (with some of the Kardashians in attendance).

And with a second cookbook on the way following the success of her first, "Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat," it's no surprise that Teigen loves to host a fabulous event.

This season, the new mom and model is teaming up with Stella Artois to inspire hosts and hostesses to put their own personal touch on the holidays and reimagine what it means to "Host One to Remember."

She's even sharing her creative take on a classic Belgian mussels recipe in honor of the historic Belgian holiday, "The King's Feast," celebrated on November 15. And yes, we have the special recipe for you.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Teigen all about the partnership -- and so much more! Read on to find out the major star she'd love to see on Lip Sync Battle and if she plans on ever going public on Twitter again.

Talk to me a little bit about why you were eager to partner with Stella Artois -- and I'd love to know about a party you've hosted that's been the most memorable.

Well for us, we always have wanted to be the accessible, easy, fun parties, where people are really relaxed [and] they feel like they're in their element in our house. I think that a lot of people, when they come over to our house, they think they're going to have some kind of passed appetizer situation, and there's going to be a bar with a bartender -- but that's not how it works at our house.

We just line our entire table with self-serve alcohol. There is cold Stella Artois in ice buckets, there is food -- I'm literally sitting on the floor with a Crock-Pot. We do what we can to make people feel like they can be really relaxed and not have to feel stuffy in any way. Because frankly, being in L.A., you never know what you're getting into with a holiday party. We like to set the standard -- no matter when they come to our house, whether it's the holiday season or a birthday party or whatever -- they could still stay casual and really relaxed.

I got to see the complete, beautiful [Stella Artois] factory. They gave me the entire tour of this place. We went around eating mussels, and it was just such a beautiful, wonderful experience to go there for my first and only time. I would love to go back.

[The partnership] makes a lot of sense. I think if you've seen my mother's Instagram or my Instagram or my Snapchat, you would know the Stella Artois family. I was just looking through photos -- we hosted a baby shower for a good friend of ours, and my mom is the only one in the middle of this photo (nobody's holding a drink), and she is just "cheers-ing" with this bright green glass bottle in front of this beautiful sunset. She is never, ever without it.

I love that. I was going to ask you about the baby shower. Did it go well?

Oh, it went really well, yeah! It was actually the first we threw in our house -- for my stylist, Monica Rose. She just works so, so hard, and she is the most beautiful pregnant person on this entire planet. We just wanted to make a really special day for her. It just couldn't have been more perfect of a day, with a wonderful group of friends and family.

Has your hosting style changed at all now that you're a mom?

Yeah, of course! Well, John and I -- I consider myself a bit of a night owl -- so by the time things really kick off, she's upstairs in bed. And we're lucky enough to have a very good sleeper. Our house -- it's been under construction for a long, long time -- it's really coming together right now. What's awesome about her is that she can literally hear a jackhammer or something, and she'll just kind of gently turn her head -- she's really unfazed by it. So, when there are people at our home and they're shouting -- cheering on John's favorite football team or something -- she's really pretty unfazed, and I'm pretty shocked and amazed by it all the time.

Of course, I don't spend my entire days working on one recipe anymore. I prefer quicker things. And what I had the energy a year ago for, I don't have the same energy for. That's what's been fun about the [second] cookbook for me. We're going to figure out this way to make everything taste like it has so much love and soul and heart, but not necessarily making you feel that your entire day has to be devoted to this recipe.

What's the biggest crowd-pleaser from your first book?

I go through my Instagram, and I'm constantly shocked by what is made on a Sunday versus [other days]. If it's a Sunday that's slightly cooler, my biscuits and gravy gets so much shine on Instagram. If it's a brunch, a lot of people are doing the Swedish pancakes, German pancakes. It's fun to see what people are making on certain days. I think that's one of the most fascinating things. People have all sorts of odd favorites. We're getting into fall, so the veggie tortilla stew is a really popular one. I have to say, it really depends on the day. It's interesting.

You got really festive with Luna for Halloween, which looked like so much fun. Do you have any exciting plans for the holidays?

Of course! With the Halloween costumes, we weren't going anywhere. For some reason, when it comes down to the actual holiday, like New Year's Eve or Halloween, [John and I] are very much at home. We're homebodies with that stuff. So that dress-up game with her was truly just that, it was playing dress-up, having fun. We never even end up going out anywhere. Everyone was like, "What was her official costume? What did she pick?" And we're like, "Oh no, nothing. Are you kidding?" We donated all of it.

I want to talk about "Lip Sync Battle" a little bit, which is such a hit -- I'm sure you're so proud of the show. Who has impressed you the most, or who has shocked you?

I mean, there's nothing like Jenna and Channing -- that was obviously an epic one. Just to see Beyoncé, because honestly we weren't sure what was going to happen, if she was really going to make it. I think they love keeping it a surprise from me now, because I have such a genuine, crazy reaction when people randomly come out -- whether it's TLC or whatever -- it's crazy to see. I mean, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is such a crazy talent -- he can sing, dance, do everything. This upcoming season, to see Lupita [Nyong'o] get real sexy was amazing to me. There are so many moments this season that I'm so excited for.

I can't wait. Is there anyone on your wish list who you haven't snagged yet?

I would obviously love a Britney [Spears] appearance. Britney, Ariana Grande -- these are people that if they could even just come out and wave, I would just die for.

I always say this. We always do the jokey feuds, but I would kind of love maybe two girls who might have dated the same guy -- I don't know, something like that would be cool. [Laughs]

Lastly, I just have to say, I admire you taking control over the online negativity, and it seems like you're enjoying private Twitter life. Has the negativity calmed down since making that change?

Oh, I am! Everything is puppies and unicorns, it's beautiful. It's changed everything for me.

I think this election year was a really tough year to be on social media in general -- a very heated year. And of course, it's going to be a very odd next four years, so I'm kind of happy I went private before any of that stuff started.

I don't know if I'll ever turn it public again, but I'm happy being able to interact with my fans. I don't want to necessarily only talk to people who I follow. I want to talk to people who love me that I love. That's always been really important to me.
