Trump says he'll pass on taking $400K presidential salary

Donald Trump said during an interview with "60 Minutes," broadcast on Sunday night, that he will pass on taking the presidential salary.

In the exchange with CBS' Leslie Stahl, Trump indicated that he had no idea what the job even pays.

He said, "I think I have to by law take $1, so I'll take $1 a year. But it's a ― I don't even know what it is. Do you know what the salary is?"

Stahl replied, "$400,000 you're giving up," prompting Trump to reaffirm, "No, I'm not gonna take the salary. I'm not taking it."

The president-elect also indicated he doesn't intend to take very many vacations, noting, "There's just so much to be done."
