No, Joel Embiid didn't kill a lion at age 6, but a lot of people actually believed it
Joel Embiid's legend continues to grow.
The Philadelphia 76ers rookie sensation has taken the NBA by storm, enjoying success on the court after spending two years on the sidelines due to injury, while becoming an endearing fan favorite for his innocent (yet hilarious) Twitter account. Through six games thus far, he holds averages of 18.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks.

Last week, Embiid and coach Brett Brown joined Adrian Wojnarowski on The Vertical Podcast with Woj, and the 7-foot Cameroon native discussed a number of things, such as basketball, his brother's death, the United States presidential election.
Embiid also revealed that, while enrolled at Kansas, he tested everyone's preconceived notions of African life by telling a story about killing a lion. Yes, really.

Never change, Joel.
