Miley Cyrus took to Twitter to react to the stunning news that Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election over Hillary Clinton.

Miley Cyrus posted an emotional video on her Twitter account on Wednesday morning in which she tearfully reacted to Donald Trump's defeat of Hillary Clinton.

"Hopefully we adjust and we accept everyone for who they are," she uttered through tears. "So, Donald Trump: I accept you. This hurts to say, but I even accept you as President of the United States."

In addition to accepting Trump as President, Cyrus also thanks President Barack Obama, Secretary Hillary Clinton and lamented that Clinton doesn't get to become the first female president of the United States in January.

"I've been very vocal for my support for everyone besides Donald Trump," she explained. "Heavily supported Bernie, heavily supported Hillary, and I still think that, in her lifetime, she deserves to be the first female president, and that's what makes me so sad. I wish she had an opportunity because she fought for so long and because I believe her when she says that she loves this country. This is all she's ever done -- given her life to make it better."
