A mom's photo of her smiling preemie daughter is going viral.
Meet Lauren Vinje's daughter. She's happy, healthy and beautiful. Without the tube in her nose and the wires on her body, you would have no idea she was a preemie and spent weeks in the NICU. She only weighed 3 pounds when she was born.
"Our first daughter at five days old. 3 lbs. 14 oz., she was happy to be alive! This picture was one I looked at often to get me through the ups and downs of our NICU days. Life is so precious," Lauren said.
Lauren's picture has been shared almost 50,000 times. Each share acts as an online support system, inspiring other families to come forward and share similar experiences.
