Man's obituary: 'He'd rather die than have to watch the presidential debate'

For better or for worse, George Norman Davis of Delaware County, Pennsylvania got exactly what he wished for.

In advance of the first matchup between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, Davis said, "he would rather die than have to watch the presidential debate."

He passed away on September 26, the day that event took place.

His obituary, published in the Delaware County Daily Times, notes, "At least he is no longer obligated to vote, firmly believing regardless of the outcome, the nation is going someplace in a handbasket and he would rather travel in the opposite direction."

Davis is described as, "...a great mechanic except for never being able to find the right parts," and a lover of "...hunting, fishing, and making up wild stories about the ... two."
