The Internet won't stop talking about this veteran's shirt

In the United States, veterans are for the most part respected for their services. They've fought for the country -- and in some cases, were injured or killed for it.

One veteran's photo of herself was posted on Reddit with the caption, "Puts it all into perspective":

The shirt reads, "Transgender veteran: I fought for your right to hate me." This references the discrimination many in the transgender community face, such as losing a job or denied housing due to being transgender. The veteran fought to protect Americans, even ones that discriminate against her.
