'American Crime Story' season 3 to focus on Versace murder

FX has renewed "American Crime Story" for a third season, TheWrap has learned.

Titled "Versace/Cunanan," the third outing of the Ryan Murphy anthology series will tackle the 1997 murder of Gianni Versace.

"American Crime Story" recently won critical acclaim and a slew of Emmys for its first outing, "The People v. O.J. Simpson," and had previously been picked up for a second season, titled "Katrina."
