The wardrobe essentials women of all ages should own

When it comes to The Row, designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have created a brand that offers incredibly stylish yet easy-to-wear wardrobe perfect for every occasion—something that we wish happened more often.

So it makes sense that the duo often features women of character—instead of the latest crop of "It" girls—as the faces of their brand. After all, who in this world—regardless of age—isn't searching for the perfect luxe sweater to wear on an everyday basis?

In 2014, the insanely chic beauty entrepreneur Linda Rodin fronted the brand's fall 2014 look book. For resort 2017, the designers tapped Frederique van der Wal, the Dutch model best known for her work with Victoria's Secret in the '90s, posing alongside supermodels including Helena Christensen and Stephanie Seymour. The look book also includes a mix of new faces such as Audra Avizienis, Olga Sherer, and Jada Joyce, all wearing very little makeup.

Though the clothes come with a luxury price tag, they are truly the definition of wardrobe essentials. And even if you can't afford the $2,000 cashmere sweaters or the $280 tees, you can certainly take inspiration from the style and use it next time you go shopping.

The sleek trench coats, black turtlenecks, classic suede loafers (elegantly lined in mink), and trousers that look both comfortable and office-friendly are all elevated basics almost every woman needs. Of course, you could also take inspiration from the '90s vibe the photos radiate—the minimal backgrounds and the close-up shots of models lounging on the floor wearing chic slip dresses are sure to inspire your next #OOTD.
