Tom Hanks trashes Trump over leaked 2005 audio: 'I'm offended as a man' (Video)

America's Sweetheart Tom Hanks has taken a break from crashing Central Park weddings to weigh in on Donald Trump's now-infamous lewd 2005 conversation with Billy Bush, which leaked to the media last week.

"He was at work, man. He wasn't in the locker room," Hanks said to an interviewer during a press junket. "He was at work. He was showing up to do a thing on camera."

"I'm offended as a man," the movie star continued. "I'm not offended as a husband or a father — I'm offended as a guy. That's just not right."

Hanks then dropped the following analogy to summarize the pending November decision:
"It's kind of a like, if you have a horrible, painful tooth and you need a root canal — who are you gonna go see? A guy who says, 'Oh, I think I can figure out how to do a root canal for you — lay down.' Or are you gonna go see somebody who's done 6,000 of them, a degree on the wall, and has a great history and expertise?"

Yup, comparing the 2016 United States presidential election to getting a root canal — that's about right.

Watch the video above. Hanks was promoting his upcoming feature film "Inferno," which rages into theater on October 28.
