Photo of mom breastfeeding in Target shopping cart goes viral

Danielle Solito of San Jose, California, was shopping at Target with her husband and their two daughters, 15-month-old Emma and 10-year-old Ava, when they were struck with a big dilemma.

Ava had received some gift cards the day before for her birthday that she was eager to spend, according to ABC News.

However, when baby Emma started to get fussy while they were shopping, Solito was forced to make a choice -- leave and find a nursing room to feed the baby, or stay with her family while the birthday girl continued shopping, and breastfeed in the store.

Luckily, Solito's husband sprang into action and started pushing her around in a giant shopping cart so she could properly multitask.

The breastfeeding mom says she had no idea that the photo, taken by her mother-in-law, would get so much attention when she posted it -- but after it was shared on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page on October 2, it amassed over 13,000 likes and nearly 800 shares.

Solito told ABC News that she thinks the photo has resonated with people because "it shows a husband being supportive, pushing us around, rather than having us go somewhere else."

Ultimately, she's just hopes her newfound viral status has a positive impact on other moms.

"I'm just all for supporting other breastfeeding moms," she said.
