Dress showing 9/11 attack being sold in London sparks outrage

A dress being sold in London is stirring controversy among shoppers.

The front of the garment shows a colorful depiction of the 9/11 terrorist attack in New York, with an illustration of planes flying into the Twin Towers and a mass of fire erupting from each building.

Images of the approximately $6 dress were subsequently shared online, and many commenters expressed their outrage.

The Evening Standard quotes a woman named Jeanette Franklin as writing, "Where is this and why are they allowed to sell such disrespectfully disgusting goods."

The dress, which was recently spotted at a local market, is believed to have originated from India.

Jaspir Bhatti, the stall owner, reportedly said that he hadn't realized the pattern portrayed the 9/11 attack. After the offensive clothing was brought to Bhatti's attention, he is quoted by The Sun as saying, "I'm so horrified."

The garment was subsequently handed over to the reporter for disposal.
