Why the Meadows is the go-to festival of the fall season

Updated

While New York City has been a long standing hub for musical performances and new artists, there's a new festival on the block that is here to stay: The Meadows.

Taking place over the first weekend of October in Queens, Meadows will feature big-name artists like J.Cole, Kanye West, The Weekend, Chance the Rapper, and more. Overall, there will be 42 artists performing on four stages throughout the two days. The festival was founded by experts in the field: The Governor's Ball creators.

However, this festival won't just feature the best in music -- it will also feature some of the best in the New York City food scene. Curated by The Infatuation, it'll be hard for concert-goers to pass up pizza from Roberta's, sandwiches from Mighty Quinn's, desserts from MilkBar, and much more.

"With this event we can shine a spotlight once again on this iconic neighborhood and bring with it the economic benefits, strong community partnerships and local hiring for which Founders Entertainment is known," said Tom Russel, one of the founders of Founders Entertainment.

Not only will the concert benefit the partygoers who attend, it will also benefit local organizations in Queens such as the Queens Library, Far Rockaway RBI Little League, and more. The event is expected to draw in nearly 80,000 attendees with a portion of festival proceeds going to donations.

Perhaps one of the most anticipated performances of the festival is Kanye West, who is currently on his Saint Pablo tour around the U.S., which has gotten rave reviews.

so if you love food, music, and a general good time, Meadows is the place for you -- you can get your tickets here!
