Little girl calls out 'sexist' children's clothes

Manufacturers have long been criticized for what they put on clothes. This time, a young girl is taking a stand against 'sexist' kids' clothing in a UK store.

Daisy Edmonds is only 8-years-old, but she recognizes the difference between boys' and girls' clothing. She went on a rant on video, which her mother, Becky, posted on Facebook:

While girls' shirts had text like "hey" and "beautiful," boys' shirts had phrases like "think outside the box" and "hero."

"It's unfair because everyone thinks girls should just be pretty and boys should just be adventurous," Daisy said. "I think that's wrong because why should boys and girls clothes even be separate because we're just as good as each other."

Daisy's message soon went viral, garnering thousands of views. A spokesman from the store, Tesco, thanked Daisy for the feedback and promised to look into it. "We stock a wide variety of clothes suitable for girls and boys and listen to the views of our customers when reviewing our range," they said. "We can assure [Daisy] that new styles will be arriving in stores shortly."
