Prince George, Princess Charlotte, William and Kate touch down in Canada for royal tour

Updated

And they're off!

The Cambridge family, Prince William, Kate Middleton and their young children George and Charlotte, have officially touched down in Canada for an official visit that will take place over the next week.

It is a visit that's generating a lot of buzz -- the young royals, after all, always draw a lot of attention. But a lot of the excitement revolves around the fact that George will make his second, and Charlotte her first, trip to foreign soil. All of their "firsts" as a family of four are exciting to see!

Their plane arrived at 4pm local time in Victoria, British Columbia, and the royals arrived looking fresh-faced and ready to go (even though it's midnight in their own time zone).

Kate stepped off the plane wearing teal blue Jenny Packham, holding Princess Charlotte, who also was in a pretty pale blue. She pulled her hair back into an elegant chignon, wearing a matching Lock&Co hat. It featured a maple leaf design similar to the red one she wore in 2012 -- which is a nod to Canada -- and she also wore a diamond maple leaf brooch on loan from the Queen.

George trotted down the steps off the plane himself, holding his father Prince William's hand. The Duke was in navy and little George matched his family in his own shades of blues.

It was a perfectly coordinated arrival for the Cambridge family, and honestly, we're quite impressed with how happy George and Charlotte seemed to be! After a long flight and it feels like midnight to you? Golden children, those two.
