Royal tour predictions: What Duchess Kate should wear in Canada

Updated

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and Prince William are about to embark on their second royal tour to Canada with their two children in tow, and it's safe to say we're excited. While we wait for them to arrive -- and see little George and Charlotte greet Canada! -- we decided to brainstorm a few outfits for Kate to wear while she's on tour.

She's been taking some style risks lately, but she has a few staples that she'll always turn to. Whether it's her trusted British brands or the perfect tailored shift dress, she knows how to put together a perfect look. One thing is for sure, Kate will deliberately make a few nods to her host nation through color, designer, maybe even pattern.

Their schedule while in Canada has a mixture of casual and semi-formal events -- we don't expect any tiaras or overly-elaborate jewels on loan from the Queen.

But you can definitely count on a few things: She'll wear red at some point, she will likely re-wear the diamond-encrusted maple leaf brooch, and *hopefully* we'll see that custom maple leaf Lock & Co hat from their 2012 visit.
