Teen accused of incest posts upbeat selfies days later

Tiahleigh Palmer, a 12-year-old girl from Logan, Australia, has died after being placed into a rough foster family situation.

According to Elite Daily, her foster brother Trent Thorburn had "an illegal sexual relationship" with Tiahleigh and was concerned he may have gotten the child pregnant.

To cover up the crime, his father, Rick Thorburn, allegedly killed Tiahleigh.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, in the middle of the search for the girl's killer, Trent posted several photos on social media.

The selfies show the man smiling and looking upbeat, and that has the internet outraged.

His posts have been attacked in the comments, but this one is particularly infuriating:

For context, the police had just allegedly offered a $250,000 reward for information on the killer, according to Elite Daily.

In contrast, his caption was extremely upbeat:

Life has it's ups and downs, goods and bads! Everyone has to go through challenges in life that they wish they never had to! But when you have food in your mouth, cloths on your back, a roof over your head, family and friends, life is good. Never forget to love and spread the love, smile and celibate life! Life is good, life is what you make it!

Things took a turn for Trent a bit later when police caught him and his father.

Rick was charged with both murder and interfering with the corpse of the teenager, and Trent was denied bail, according to BuzzFeed News.
