You can stay in these amazing outdoor huts in northern Finland for no cost at all. These open wilderness huts are managed by Metsähallitus.

They allow travelers to stay one night for free. Finnish law, "Everyman's right" allows people of all nationalities the right to travel the countryside of Finland with out any discrimination. Visitors can freely travel and enjoy their stay as long as they respect the land and community.

Visitors can also enjoy the free national parks that surround the area, and the views are breathtaking.

Prime locations, such as the Kimitoon region are great for canoeing, hiking and biking. Kimitoon was chosen as the best travel destination by 'Mondo' magazine
