National Fail League: The biggest flops from Week 2

Updated

Another NFL Sunday is in the books. And while plenty of teams had reason to celebrate, there were just as many people around football that would love a mulligan.

By now, you've seen the highlights. But here's where you'll find the lowlights -- one last look back at the week's biggest fails before we turn the page to Week 3.

So without further ado: Welcome to the National Fail League, Week 2 edition.

Matthew Stafford

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is adept at most necessarily skills for the position, sans for one: the slide.

Before the Lions blew a lead to the Tennessee Titans, Stafford scrambled his way toward a first down, then decided to give himself up -- or not. A half-slide, half-fall ensued, and despite earning a new set of downs, the ugly spill precluded a Week 2 meltdown.

Ted Ginn Jr.

Ted Ginn made a fantastic grab against his former team, San Francisco, and his team wound up winning handily. But, if even for a second, Ginn gave the Niners hope with a rather hilarious gaffe.

The final score makes this a pretty good laugh for all involved.

The Seattle Seahawks

Last we saw of the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, the San Francisco 49ers were making them look as if they'd never stepped foot on an NFL field before. Against the Seahawks, a title contender, in Week 2 at the Los Angeles Coliseum, though? Well, they still didn't score a touchdown. But they pulled off a stunning victory.

Seattle scored a grand total of three points against LA, a week after squeezing out a last-second victory over Miami. It's not yet time to panic in Seattle yet, but... c'mon, man.

Injured RB fantasy owners

Think you drafted yourself a fantasy team with pretty good running back depth? Might wanna check again.

Adrian Peterson, Jonathan Stewart, Thomas Rawls, Doug Martin and Arian Foster all went down with injuries in Week 2. Time to start scouring that waiver wire.

The poor, poor Browns

Corey Coleman caught his second touchdown pass of the first quarter to give Cleveland — CLEVELAND! — a three-score lead. Break up the Browns! But, naturally, the PAT attempt failed, the Ravens scored two points off a defensive conversion and followed up by posting 23 additional unanswered points en route to a 25-20 win.

Cheer up, Browns fans. At least 'The Browns Box' care package is still on sale.
