Disney is facing strong criticism after this Halloween costume became available for purchase on their website.

Some people are saying the costume of Maui, a character voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the upcoming animated Disney film "Moana", is an offensive example of cultural appropriation.

Available for $50, the zip-up costume, described on the website as "all over Maui body tattoo screen art," an "island-style skirt," "photorealistic teeth art appliqués," and "padded arms and legs for mighty stature," has some people wondering if this is borderline "brown face".

Twitter users expressed their concern, with tweets reminding Disney that cultures are not costumes. Some have also criticized the costume for turning centuries of their Pacific islander culture into "just a cartoon."

Others are expressing their support for the upcoming film in embracing diversity and support of Polynesian culture.
