People are obsessed with this teen's clever trick to save money

For many people, going to college is the first time you truly have to manage a budget.

A student and standup comedian from Los Angeles named Daniel Cabral told BuzzFeed News he has problems wasting money on "dumb things."

Like, for instance, he spent $30 on pineapples.

Since he lost his job, money has been tight. The 19-year-old came up with a clever way to save.

He keeps a photo of Terry Crews in his wallet, you know, to make sure that no funny business goes down when he's spending money.

"I was thinking, 'What I should put there?'" he told BuzzFeed News. "And I thought I should start saving money since I don't have a job, and who's a better financial advisor than Terry Crews?"

Crews is famous for his role as a frugal father on "Everyone Hates Chris."

Cabral told BuzzFeed News he really has been carrying it around in his wallet to help him make better financial decisions.

The internet agrees that the idea is genius, and it has since been retweeted more than 200,000 times.
