Christian doomsayers predict the world will end in 2017 due to a massive total solar eclipse

Updated

It's the end of the world as we know it ... but we feel fine.

The group of self-described 'hardcore Christians' behind the website 'Unsealed' have predicted that the world will end on August 21, 2017 -- when a total solar eclipse is expected to occur across the United States, plunging the entire continent and park of Western Europe into darkness, sparking the end of the world.

Let's dissect this, shall we?

In fact, there is going to be a massive eclipse on August 21, 2017, and it will be the first total eclipse to travel from one of America's coasts to the other in years.

This prediction, which is confirmed by NASA, is as close to logic as the group's argument came before veering sharply to the left.

The doomsayers proceeded to highlight passages from The Book of Revelation describing a woman clothed in the sun with the moon at her feet who will apparently bring about the end, the Daily Star reported.

Scripture says this woman will be hunted by a Satanic seven-headed dragon looking to eat her unborn child. Naturally, this dragon must be defeated by an army of angels in a war which will pretty much spell the end for the rest of us.

Sounds about right.

Anyways, if you'd like to observe the stunning feat of nature end of the world as it happens in a little less than a year from now, here's a guide on where you can see it best.
